sorry everyone, I am not trying to beg for followers but the bloglovin’ site requires this post in order for me to claim my blog, whatever that means. I thought I had better do that!
And I made a button!!
My first.
Believe me, I have close to non-existent Photoshop expertise, but I found this great article and used the excellent Glass Button tutorial. The process is broken down into steps of one syllable, making it reasonably easy for a beginner. I chose an oceanic, bluey-greeny colour for my button; because blue-green glass is purdy 🙂 and the background is transparent, meaning you can see the background colour of your blog underneath it.
If anyone else wants to use it that is fine, just remember to change the link to have your blog address on bloglovin’, not mine.
Oooh, your button is pretty! I have some Photoshop skills (although not many), what I have no idea about is the html code to make the button do anything!

Very purdy button. I like! what do you make of bloglovin'? I tried it and it just was sooooo slow with everyone trying to use it, I gave up. I'm trialling feedly at the moment… That doesn't need a button, which is good for me, as I have no experience of Photoshop, let alone close to non-existent expertise! 🙂
Nikki; I'm going to see how it goes with bloglovin'… but you don't need a button to use it at all! I just started playing around with PS and made one, just for fun. The bloglovin' site does have some readymade buttons too, if you did want one for your sidebar. I'm looking forward to seeing how all the alternate reader systems compare to each other, I'm sure there will be lots of reviews before too long 🙂
Am already following you on Bloglovin never been on Google Reader so it doesn't affect me. Love the way you can categorise and "like" posts to come back to later etc. Not tried any others so this may be standard but I like the Bloglovin interface. Well done with the button.

This is a problem that I need to get to grips with myself. I have never used bloglovvin or feedly. It does seem that bloglovvin has the momentum in the online sewing community.

Hi Carolyn, I have to admit I took the lazy way out and imported a button from Bloglovin. Thanks for the site address, as I have it on my list to also learn how to make buttons sometime this year.
