Twirled piece

Claudine said, spin.  I said, OK then.

Details:
Shirt; Burda 8497, white cotton, details here
Skirt Vogue 8296, cream wool printed with khaki brush strokes (divine but one of the most expensive fabric purchases I’ve ever made) and lined with silk.  Yes, this is my good winter skirt.  A better non-spinning view here.
Socks; knitted by me, white cotton, details here
Trench coat, in case I got cold (I didn’t, spinning is kinda warming);  Burda 7786 modified to be double-breasted, details here
Shoes; Francesco Morichetti, from Zomp shoes

  1. Great spinning and besides warm how about giddy πŸ™‚

Love your skirt, very pretty and so versatile in your wardrobe.

  2. Gorgeous outfit! The skirt is amazing!
Yup, we're both slim, tall, and we're the same size ;). This makes your pattern reviews valuable for me and vice versa, doesn't it? How convenient! I think that petite models work for me because I have a rather short torso, and I need a slight pattern adjustment to make it fit me.

  3. Beautiful photo and beautiful clothes, you turning, as if the joy of living enough made me smile first thing in the morning, even on a sad day, thanks.

  4. What a great skirt to spin in! It's just gorgeous!

I agree with you about dressing up for special events like ballet/opera/plays. I see people in DENIM SHORTS and ratty shirts at many of the events I attend. It looks like they don't care about themselves or respect the affair. TOTALLY bugs me.

  5. Ah, love it! At first I thought it was the wind. I like the socks with short boots. hmmm, maybe I should get some short boots before winter, since our winters are so mild.

    Beautiful skirt!!

  6. Another gorgeous outfit. Love both bits (can't see the trench). Is the skirt lining still gathering up underneath or did you find a solution to that? So with you about dress habits at more formal events. I go to the Brandenburg concerts in Sydney and seriously some look as though they come straight from mowing the lawn. I guess they still enjoy the music the same!

  7. Thank you!
RebeccaHoward, if you would like to see my trench coat properly there is a link to its own post in the "Details" bit.
The skirt lining sticks to my tights if I am wearing them, since I wasn't wearing tights today the lining behaved itself, and felt beautifully soft and silky against my legs!
And yes, I'm sure people will enjoy a performance whatever they are wearing, but I still feel very casual attire shows a lack of respect for the performers, the venue, and the occasion. And just plain rude.
