Fabulous new fabric…

… thank you so much to Passiona Cottee over at Le Coutureve who recently held a massively generous giveaway.  She ever so kindly gave some of this magnificent fabric pictured below to all of us who entered…   and she has made her own lovely skirt which you can admire here.   Thank you so much, Passiona!  I’m feeling extremely Missoni inspired here and already know exactly what I’m going to make with this…  Stay tuned!
Re my self-stitched September outfit today… not much to say.  I rarely wear all black, but I just felt like it today.  I look a bit awful in black, I should have learnt this by now…
Just admire the fab new Missoni fabric instead.

  1. I'm loving your SSS outfits. Isn't the missoni fabric gorgeous. My arrived yesterday and I've been admiring it all day. Love your orange skirt from a few days ago. The black one today is also a bit of a fave.

  2. I LOVE that skirt .. gee it looks good on you and I don't mind you in all black. I get sick of living through winter when most wear all black but first time I've seen it on you so it is a nice aberration.

  3. Lovely fabric, will be fun to see what you make!
I don't mind you in black either, it enhances your lovely hair colour. I don't really like all black on me since the day I hit 40, but I still wear it because most of my stash is black.
I said it last time, but I love the skirt!

  4. What gorgeous fabric! I like your all black outfit, the skirt is fabulous and you look great. I don't wear black well, shows the dark circles under my eyes:) but if I put on a brightly colored necklace it helps quite a bit. Enjoy your new fabric.

  5. That skirt is so fun and well made. I hope you will remix itmore after SSS is over. Hmmm, what will you make with that fabric ? I'd be stumped.

  6. What a lovely gift of fabric! It causes me to think of the ocean or poolside. So pretty. I appreciated your comment about fly zipper installations too. You are so right, there are often many ways to get to the same place! Isn't it satisfying to find a way that will always give consistent results? I love having that confident feeling for certain skills, and then continuing the growth by working on the next challenge!
