When I first made this shirtdress I received a comment on Pattern Review that it was “like the dreaded flannie“, but so much nicer” Of course this was the exact effect I was absolutely hoping to evoke… ;D
It’s comfortable, so (shrug) mmm. And it is not summer yet, so a little skirt underneath gives a little extra wind protection to the legs. Yeah.

I have nothing else intelligent to say. Come to think of it, it’s not like I’ve even said anything halfway intelligent so far. So I should just quit now, cutting straight to, I wish you all a wonderful weekend and …er, see ya round like a rissole!
Oops, that wasn’t an intelligent thing to say either. Just the sort of thing a flannie-wearer would come up with… Maybe wearing this thing is transmuting me. I’ll try to wear something more erudite tomorrow, which might help leach some brain-liness back into the ol’ psyche.
So, on the morrow, fellow needle-wielders; for a spot of worthy debate on poetry and philosophy.

Looks good and comfortable – just what you need at the weekend. You have so many great backgrounds to your photos, Perth tourist board should be paying you commission. 🙂
that sounds comfy:)) and it looks comfy… I'd love one like this *day dreaming*

I always used to steal my husband`s flannette shirts in winter until I bought my own – now my daughters steal mine !
I love this look – comfortable and cozy but very very stylish!
I like checked shirts on everyone but me! My daughter looks great in them and has them in several colours but I tend to feel old and frumpy in them…not sure why… No matter, we should wear what we like, no!
By the way…you lost me at transmuting, maybe you should have included that in your dictionary link.
Shirt dress has been long in my to-do list! Your dresses urges me to get back to my to-do list sooner. Thanks for inspiring!
Ah I love this! It looks so soft and comfy. I actually attempted to make a very similar one a few months ago but ended up making it WAY too short after I altered the pattern a bit. Now I'm tempted to try this one out.
I'm so jealous you guys are going into Summer by the way. Here in the states Summer is just ending. 🙁 I'll be thinking of you lucky Australians when it starts to snow. That's when I REALLY will start complaining. 🙂
Very relaxed look. Orange is the new black. It goes with everything.
