Isn’t it nice when you open a winter woollies drawer and discover a little something that you had finished off a few months ago, in the height of summer when you could not wear it, and suddenly you can wear it?? That is the serendipitous case with this blue cardigan…
My location today is the Crawley Boatshed which has been here since the 30’s; a real iconic photo-spot here in Perth, it’s practically a cliche to take a photo here actually. I felt extremely un-innovative standing here… 😀 On any weekday one has the spot to oneself, but over the weekend there is bound be a bridal party or two, or three, rocking up to have their portraits taken here. I don’t usually like to be so obvious in my choice of locations; but it is such a beautiful little spot and it seemed logical that I should use it at least once, someday! And since I was dropping Sam off at uni any way… so, yah…
Plus maybe I am getting a little sentimental; in a few days we are heading off on our trip, and since I am soon going to be featuring beautiful locations from another part of the world (well, hopefully!) I thought I could show off some of the nicest of the spots in my own hometown too.
So I hope my me-made May photos are almost like an enjoyable little peek at Perth; and not merely a trivial documentation of my wardrobe and what I am wearing 🙂

I can see why that spot is so popular. I haven't been to Perth so know nothing of cliched photo spots. It certainly brings out the blue in your cardigan.

This photo looks so peaceful, I love how the pastel blue-grey colors of the background combine with the blue of the cardigan and the white of the blouse. Cardigans are definitely my favourite knitted items and yours is so cool!

Even on weekdays I often see bridal parties at that spot on my way to uni (I'm from Perth too) 😛
Personally, though, with the busy road right there, I reckon I'd be a bit too self concious taking photos 😛

Beautiful location and outfit. I especially love the skirt. The blue coat is very nice, and the bougainvillea behind him is beautiful. We grow it in my part of the world also.

Nothing cliche about the Crawely boat shed to me! I've never been to Australia, much less Perth. It's so twee! I spotted the Karl Largerfield Burda skirt straight away. Your version looks fab!
That happens to me all the time. When the weather changes, I find all these "gifts" that I made myself earlier and have not worn yet. And they're always just the sort of thing that I like.

I'm catching up on your blog and again admiring the photos! The Anna Sui dress looks lovely on Cassie. I have that in my stash as well and wondered what it looks like in "real life." The black trim really makes the back ruffle stand out!
