B-Day

Hmmm.  It’s my birthday.
Yes.  Well.  I’m too shy to go into sordid details, like giving an actual number or any nonsense like that.  OK, so maybe I just don’t feel like it.  But here is a hint; one of my favourite bloggers Yoshimi, and I share the same birth year.  So if you are familiar with Yoshimi, then you know!
Whoo; I haven’t done a random daily outfit picture for a while, so I thought what the hey.  I must be missing those me-made months…   on which note, it’s occurred to me that if there is ever another one, then I will be able to go into it having made my entire wardrobe, including all the underpinnings!  (nerdy woot)
ahh, the small things that amuse small minds….  ðŸ˜€
Walking along the beach with my dog is always high up on my list of favourite daily activities, on my birthday as well as any other day!  I’m also looking forward to being showered with gifts spending quality time with my family, hehe.  Tea, and quite possibly cake, will be consumed sometime during the day with my girl friends too.
Naturally, I must wear something fab.
Tootles, friends!

  1. Happy birthday, Dear!

I think, they're rather days to remember the troubles the then mother to be was going through; 'our part' was – for most of us at least – perhaps the better side of this day! 😀

I think it's not really necessary to count the numbers, since they're basically just 'detailed sorting-ingredients' for the authorities. Ignore the numbers – keeps young!
(Yet: you'd have to hide the kids to avoid us getting any close to the real number 😉 – which would work nicely then = thumbs up!)

Anyhooo: thanks to your Mum; it's nice she went through all the troubles and hence we can enjoy the occasional 'slice of you' via blog here!

Your future cup of tea in Melbourne

  2. Dear Carolyn
here in Brazil we're still on 23 set… but I hope you have a marvelous day and I pray that Our Lord Jesus Christ give you a year full of happiness and joy!
    Kisses,
    Míriam

  3. BIG Birthday Happies to you, you young whippersnapper 😉

Your b-day outfit and setting are completely stunning – definitely worthy of a special day 🙂

  4. Happy birthday Carolyn and thank you for all your kind comments on my blog.

Here's to another great year of your fantastic sewing!!

  5. Happy birthday Carolyn and thank you for all your kind comments on my blog.

Here's to another great year of your fantastic sewing!!

  6. Btw., you're quite lucky to be still able to celebrate yours birthday today since yesterday the globe could easily have spun out of whack during yesterdays Hanami celebration here on Mt. Dandenong: Never ever have I seen so many Australians on ONE spot/venue hence it could have well and truly caused an unbalance of 'The Ball' !!! 😉
Despite being born and bred in denser living Europe, the two of us panicked, ducked and rather 'squirrelled' off and decided to rather have a look at those magnificent cherry blossoms next week! Despite without jap. tea-ceremony yet with peace and quiet and more concentration towards the marvellous lookouts from the Nat. Rhododendron Gardens in Olinda incl. the trees/blooms in question (instead of constantly having to avoid to step on one of our fellow Aussies – which we're not really used in a mass the like)!

    So again: enjoy your birthday,

Gerlinde ('that' cup … – hopefully one day)
