Katrina; the recipe is the "Rich Chocolate Cake", on p33 from the Australian Women's Weekly "Cakes & Slices" cookbook, our family's go-to birthday cake recipe. Sorry, I would likely be breaching copyright if I wrote it out here. Cassie made it with about quadruple quantity of the icing to fill and ice it thickly all over, and the strawberries were her own idea :))
