Desert Island Sewing

I’m a desert island castaway!
The wonderful whimsical Winnie of Scruffy Badger Time, is hosting an awesome (virtual) getaway and I am now (virtually) kicking back on my little lonesome on my very own fantasy island.  By fantasy, naturally that means one that has all the essentials for nonstop sewing.  And g&t’s too, of course.
There is but one limitation; we are allowed to have with us eight patterns, and eight patterns only.  If you had to narrow down your selection to just eight patterns, which would you choose?
My choices are here.
Thank you so much for the (virtual) beautiful beachy sewing paradise Winnie  ðŸ™‚

  1. Lovin those Burda pants and shorts pattern, you cant' go wrong with Burda!

What an interesting concept! Makes me wish for an island vaca!

  2. They are some great patterns!

  3. Mmmmm… I'm not sure I could survive with only eight patterns ….

  4. What a fun thing to do. I think you chose the perfect patterns…lots of versatility.

  5. Don't think the eight pattern limitation would be too hard on you. You do get the most from your patterns.

  6. You are so welcome Carolyn, and it's started a bit if chat on Twitter: lots of admiration 🙂

  7. So you love Brideshead Revisited too!? I've only visited (sorry) it once, but I was so excited about it that I sat up half the night copying bits out of it (a library book). Then I gave up and bought the thing. I found a great sort of study website that explains a lot of the history and culture references in it and I keep thinking I'd enjoy blogging about those and finding photos for therm. Have you seen the movie? I gather there may be more than one… If they've remade Great Gatsby (is that ever going to come out do you think?) they may well remake Brideshead as well… I could live in hope. And you like g&ts, too? Amazing.

  8. You don't even need ONE pattern! You are one of the most talented sewers I know 🙂 For myself, I am now learning how to use elements from one pattern on another. Baby steps for me.

  9. Oh I have been so hoping that you were chosen for this. Great post Carolyn !!
