After Xmas when you’re in the mood to muse, would you please tell us more about the indigo dyeing experience from a sewist’s point of view? I like to think I’d enjoy playing with Indigo, but I wonder if vats of spattery, staining dye and all the other steps will leave me, a) entertained, and pleased that I got this special colour, or, b) kicking myself for indulging another DIY fantasy that the results would be good enough to justify all the effort & expense that could have gone into sewing?
That looks absolutely jaw-droppingly amazing! I love the photo of the inside out dress.
I’m adding this one to my “to sew” list (although I’m not sure if it suits my kinda buxom figure…)
Another labour of love – such a gorgeous dress!
Love that dress! Your indigo turned out beautifully and the orange top-stitching and bar tacks finish it off
splendidly.
How clever is this? Another score.

I really love the contrast of indigo and then orange . It’s a truely lovely dress
