Please say hello to Clara! the newest, and arguably the bounciest and bonniest member of our family… 😉  She is a blue merle border collie, just 8 weeks of age at the present, and a hilariously rambunctious little bundle of fluffy fun. We’ve been waiting for this little poppet for sooooo long! she’s actually been “ours” since birth, in fact, even before she was a twinkle in her daddy’s eye!  😉 and when the timing worked out so that we knew we would be receiving her just a few short weeks after our long-planned Alaska/Canada holiday, well, the timing could not have been more perfect.
… so adorable I can hardly stand it…

… that fat fluffy bottom with little stumpy legs… #squeeeeee

… we’re all wondering if her eyes are going to stay blue…!

brand new!!! Â at top right, with her siblings…

… wot a roly-poly, eh?!

We’ve only had her for a couple of days but are all head over heels in love with this irrepressible little fluff-bucket. Â This girl knows how to live… she plays hard, and sleeps hard! Â She’s a bundle of energy and pretty exhausting, but of course it’s a the very best sort of exhaustion to have.
Anyway I am hoping that Clara and I are going to be excellent buddies and have hours and hours of fun and joy together. Â She’s already so much fun as a puppy, and I can hardly wait for when she’s old enough to venture forth for walkies!

She’s gorgeous! I can imagine it must have been very quiet without Sienna, but this little girl will surely bring you hours of joy again 🙂
thank you Anne-Rose… yes, losing Sienna had left a giant hole in my life… and lately I felt really really ready to welcome a new dog in our lives again 🙂
She’s perfect! Who could resist that face, or that bottom?
Now you’ll just have to find a perfect backdrop for future photographs. The red rocks were for Sienna; Clara’s going to need a Carrera marble wall to pose in front of. Or, weathered teak. Or gray granite. You’ll think of something.
Congratulations on your new lovable project!
Now that I look back, I can see you were already working on that. The place mat, the marble floor. Sigh. You’re always ten steps ahead of us.
thanks sankati! Hehe, I think Clara may have to go with the red rocks too… there’s actually not that much colour choice around here! 🙂
Adorable. I’m in love from afar!
thanks Brenda!
…Insert comical image of me doing the happy dance…
Clara is beyond adorable. It’s so cute to see that even from a tiny, tiny age she liked to lie tummy down with her back legs stretched out.
So very happy for you and your family!
thanks Sue! and yes, those little legs sticking out behind her just slay me!! And now I’ve met you I can totally picture you doing the happy dance, hehe 🙂
Congratulations on the new addition. She’s adorable and looks to be tonnes of fun. When we lost our dog of 10 years a few summers ago the house was so , so , SO quiet. We adopted another just before Christmas that year and it’s always lovely to have a dog in the house!
thank you Jodie. It’s only just lately I’ve realised I have plenty of love to give another dog 🙂
Delighted to meet Clara! I’m happy for all of you and us! Wishing you much love and joy and health in the years ahead!
thank you so much Brenda! 🙂
A little beauty! She’ll be a sweet companion.
thank you Elle! she will 🙂
That’s great, I am so glad you have a new dog in the house. Looking forward to the bloggie photos with her in them.
thanks Julie! at the moment she’s a bit of a whirlwind! but I’m hoping she will want to come with me for photos one day too 🙂
Ohh, she is adorable! How joyable it must be to have her around! I am looking forward seeing your future pictures!
thank you SaSa! She is indeed a bundle of joy! 🙂
How utterly gorgeous – so cute I can’t stand it!!
thanks K-Line! she’s pretty adorable in real life too! 😉
What a cutie!! She looks like a bundle of joy 🙂
thanks Lisa! xx 🙂
Congratulations, a new family member, a new era, wonderful ♡
Maybe also anew a bit of mourning? Seeing the new pup in ways and places where Sienna was before. Take care.
thanks MultiVroon! yes, having a new puppy has brought some sad reminders, however she is such a ball of charming energy we are enjoying her presence just in her own right so much 🙂
Stunning!! I’m entirely jealous 🙂
hehe,, puppies tend to do that! 🙂
Happy new Puppy!! Clara is gorgeous and I know she will have a marvellous life with you and yours: and you with her. Love, and wiggly waggly tails, from Lorelai Gilmore and Hedy Lamarr.
thank you 2paw! 🙂
Oh what an adorable cutie she is! May you enjoy many many years of cuddly fun together. I look forward to seeing her in your future blog posts. All the best!
thank you so much Tomasa! 🙂
Oh Clara you are such a cutie and all that fluff is so cuddly. So happy for your Carolyn, there must have been a huge hole in your life as Sienna was a constant companion, now Clara will be more than willing to fill that spot. Clara you are one lucky little girl.
thank you Sharon! yes, you know what it’s like, not having Sienna was a huge hole in our lives, and it’s only just lately that I’ve realised I do still have plenty of love for a new dog. I’m hoping Clara will be very happy with us, 🙂
What an adorable little fluff ball!!! Very nice of you to share this little angel with us! I look forward to seeing her growing up into a really adventuresome dog! Lucky family to have such a wonderful addition!
thank you Judy! yes, we are really really lucky 🙂
Oh my gosh, what a perfect, adorable little bundle. I can’t wait to meet her!
thanks Megan! she’ll be out and about pretty soon, hopefully! she’s still quite little and is learning about her lead still 🙂
Sigh! What a bundle of cuteness! 🙂
thanks Rose! she really is 🙂
Oh she is gorgeous! I positively LOVE a Border Collie! We adopted one from a kill shelter a great many years ago and had untold hours of fun with our Lady, swimming, playing Frisbee, softball, Limbo, etc. she was tragically killed after we had her 8 years, but we had no idea of her age. Wishing you many, many years of joy and fun with Clara!
thank you Yvonne! yes we are border collie people too.. it’s funny how everyone just knows! 🙂
How is your cat coping with all this ball of energy?
bit stand-offish at first but are all getting used to the new addition 🙂
That’s so great!
Sigh…so beautiful. Yes I am sure you will be great buddies.
thanks Vicki! I sure hope so too 🙂
She looks absolutely adorable! I am extremely jealous of your puppy – I’m working on The Management for a doggy of my own . Big hugs from the UK.
thanks Kim! yes a new puppy has that effect on people… I hope you get one soon 🙂
How cute! I hope she brings lots of joy and laughter to your home, though it sounds like she’s already succeeding in that.
thank you Becky! she’s really breathed new life into the place! xx 🙂
How gorgeous is she! So pleased for you xx
thank you Sarah! xx 🙂
Congratulations on your new bundle of “love”. I’m so very happy for you!! There’s nothing like the unconditional love from a dog & the JOY that they give us enjoy!!
thank you so much Cheri! Yes, we are more than ready to give our love to a new puppy, and she is the cutest little bundle of fun 🙂
wow she is cute, those eyes! how fun.
thanks Beth! a new puppy is lots of fun! 🙂
Adorable! We, too have a border collie. Ours is The typical black and white. He’s just over 1 year and has more energy than I did at 20. He went back to chewing shoes in the last month. UGH!
They all grow up too fast.
Enjoy her puppyhood!
thanks Laurie! we will 🙂
She is beautfully marked. We used to have a red merle collie which we ‘inherited’ from a close friend who sadly died. He was 6 years old when he came to live with us with a red and white bitch who had also belonged to our friend. We already had a black and white collie and a tri-colour so it was quite a house full. They’ve all now sadly left us and we have another black and white male now who came to us as from a rescue kennel, is nearly 9 years old and is brilliant with our very young grand-daughter. We’d never have anything other than a border collie or collie cross having had a total of 7 over the last 40 years, up to four at once in two separate periods!!
Wow, that’s intense… your house must have been pretty busy! 😀
Yayyy!! We’re a unique breed: Border Collie Owners….who would have thought we’d sign up for another one with the full and complete knowledge of how much work they are in terms of dropped hair and sand – not to mention the high exercise demands – but hey that pales into insignificance when compared with the loyalty and mad fun. Ours ensures we keep fit and maintain our sense of humour. I hope Clara brings you lots of crazy joy.
thanks Clare! hehe, I’m actually looking forward a lot to getting back into that exercise routine, believe me! she’s pretty little right now, too little for walkies; but I’m determined to enjoy each stage of her life 🙂
My niece also has a blue eyed Border Collie, called Klara! She has brought such joy and activity into her family – enjoy 🙂
Wow, that’s amazing, Sam! 🙂
Be still my beating heart! Blue merle collies are my all time favourite dog and I am so thrilled that you have one. I cannot wait to meet her!
thanks so much Sue! She’ll be out and about pretty soon… she’s quite little at the moment and still learning how to use a lead but I’m really looking forward to walkies with her soon! 🙂
So pretty, so fluffy, so cute. Have fun with her and I look forward to seeing her photobombing your blog shots. Sierra is missed and sometimes I look back at old photos to find her. I really can’t understand people who don’t want a dog to live with, especially when your children have grown up. There is nothing like being greeted by a dog when you come home.
thanks Connie! yes, Sienna’s absence is a huge hole in our lives and hearts… and it’s only quite recently I’ve realised I still do have plenty of love left for a new doggie… Clara is a joy and I am so excited to have her in my life! 🙂
Hello Clara! 🙂 What an adorable, fluffy puppy! I hope you two become great friends, I’m really happy for both of you! 🙂
Hello Clara ;). You are beautiful
You have a good family.
Véronique
Hi cutie!!! Awwww she is so perfectly fluffy and adorable!
Oh Carolyn, she is so precious! Welcome to the family, Clara 😀 There is something so lovely about having a tiny animal heartbeat in the house 🙂
A very late reply but seeing as I’ve come back for a second time to look at Clara I thought I should leave a comment! She is so incredibly cute!! I’m sure you & her will be best pals & have lots of fun together!
OMG, she’s a stunner and so eaaaasy to photograph (unlike my own black pooch)!! Congratulations, I’m grinning from ear to ear and you’ll never see that reaction from me with a kitten/cat!!
