thanks for your inspiring blog. I really hope you get rain. It was indescribably wonderful when the drought broke in Victoria. Wishing lots of rainy thoughts your way.
I'm glad I bought that vogue pattern then, since it's out of print! I looked at all the skirts you made from it and it looks very versatile. My parents are flying back to Perth tonight and they have been freezing here – even with huge jackets and layers on. Oh you fickle warm weathered creatures! heh heh. ( i have adjusted and didn't think it was THAT cold!) xo
I think *your* winter is in the air here! It has been FREEZING. ARGH!
However I do love the outfit, and that skirt is Uber-Funky.
Best wishes for the rain 🙂
You look AMAZING every single day!
Another great outfit. Your dog cracks me up. 🙂 And, yes, it does look wintry!
That coat is awesome! I am going to tackle my first one this fall in a gorgeous purple wool!
Blessings
Linda
Fabulous! It's so cool to read blogs from Australia, since we're heading into Summer here in Boston.
Looking at your "wintry" outfit, I decided to sneak a peek at what your temperatures actually are at this point in the year. The temperature here is not far off from what you're experiencing, and we're calling it summer. We'd be much happier with warmer weather, if such a thing ever comes. (Why, oh why did I pack away my woolies?)
It may be a blustery day, but you look chic as always (and I love that jacket!)
As to the sew-alongs being off-season, I can totally see that being a bummer. Obviously you need to host a down-under Winter Essentials sewalong. 😉
Also, like Irene, our daily highs this week are about the same as Perth's forecast (and rain as well, bleh). I'd be much happier with, oh, ten degrees hotter, but that's not likely to happen. Sigh.
I love the stockings you make yourself they look so much more interesting then the ones in the store. its cause u think out side the box with fabrics a skill i hope to inherit one day 🙂 can wait to see the next pair!!!!!
love you mum
those tights / leggings are perfect for a stormy day. Hope you get some rain!
promise i am studying between comments William Morris's "red house" was built in 1860 in Bexley Heath England. It is significant because William was one of the founders of the english arts and crafts movement which rejected the machine and mass production in favour of traditional handcraft and the view of architecture as the beautiful joining of materials in a way as to satisfy the structural necessity of the building. 😀 interesting no?
The colours of today's outfit look fabulous against today's backdrop.
