15 Thoughts on “the paper doll project

  1. I love the pop of colour that your orange leggings give to an outfit.

  2. Carolyn, I'm as impressed by your drawing as by your sewing! And your energy!

  3. Carolyn, It is so strange for us from Europe in this terribly hot period (Belgrad, Serbia is for almost a week above 35 C and will be in coming days) to look in your "WINTER" wardrobe.
First I can not imagine to put something long-sleeved on myself, and second we are wearing these types of wardrobe in the middle af autumn, not in our winter. In winter we are covering with at least 4-5 layers of materials. Anyway, I like your way of everything! Maja

  4. Bit of a cool sketcher on the sly aren't ya? . . . https://www.facebook.com/SassySewingBees

  5. I like how you have also included the weather report:)

  6. Carolyn, I went shopping a few weeks ago when visiting my family, and picked up a pait of sky blue leggings. Now I need to study your drawings to see how to incorporate them into my wardrobe for fall. They do NOT go with summer colors, as they are bright and clashing.

    • Mary, those leggings sound really cool! I'll bet they look completely awesome with any shade of white/ivory/cream etc … Maybe it would be good to do a wardrobe version of brainstorming… go through the entire wardrobe trying them on with a whole bunch of stuff to see what goes? and also cast an eye over your fabric stash? Sometimes you discover things this way that you wouldn't have thought of otherwise. 🙂

  7. i really love your army jacket! as always great outfits, and props for linking to all your original posts… i hate doing that!

  8. Cute, cute, cute! Can you draw my wardrobe for me???

  9. I like your color combinations, especially the paprika, raspberry and red. I love unusual color combinations!

  10. I'd love to wear leggings to work – but I wear them at home instead.
Love your paper doll diary. Your drawings are really good. It's really cool that you've also included your hair dos too.

  11. Its so nice to see so an injection of colour in your winter illustrations, here in the UK when the shops get the autumn wear in its always so dark and gloomy.

  12. This is a beautiful project! Love your winter wardrobe, so full of color, you are my hero!

  13. I'm still loving these posts. I love how you match colours successfully which I wouldn't dare match! It is strange to think it's been 20 degrees in your winter snd you're wrapped up in scarves, boots, etc. That's summer for us here across the ditch and my scarves would be buried!

  14. This is a neat idea! Love your creativity.
